Getting Out the 3 Votes

A hole has suddenly opened in the Politicians' defensive line that prevents Internet-savvy candidates from prevailing: There'll be hardly any turnout tomorrow for the Democratic Primary, because it will have Zero Effect on who's Mayor. Bloomberg has decided to re-purchase the Mayor's office.

But there's no Republican candidate for Public Advocate, so, whoever wins tomorrow gets a shot at struggling mightily without effect, clueless about the Smart Mob tools that are just itching to take over a major city. It's a chance to break serve, despite the Politician team's home court advantage:

Or it's Andrew Rasiej ("Ru-shay"). The first New York politician who can tell a server from a waiter.

Meanwhile, some of us are building an Open Source Parallel City Government so Andrew Rasiej can re-form City Hall.

If you know New Yorkers, you have friends who can affect this race because of the tiny turnout, and Andrew Rasiej can start bending politics in the World's Essential City - A new form of Governance that the nation cannot ignore.

Then we can all start improving NY, even if you don't live here.

I've created a 2-page PDF to help New Yorkers to get out 3 votes for Andrew Rasiej in tomorrow's Democratic Primary. It's basically the post I put up last Wednesday, plus a sheet of business cards with a simple message:

Rasiej for Public Advocate

Democratic Primary 9/13

Andrew Rasiej knows how to make change
Someday, all politicians might listen this well

created & printed by a private citizen

You can download the doc from here. (88 KB PDF)

I've also posted Thomas Friedman's endorsement of Andrew Rasiej, Calling all Luddites. (52KB PDF)
